FAQ’s

How long does it take to embroider your items?

After payment we can have your stuff out the door in as little as 7 days from proof approval depending on the order size and how busy we are.

The typical order ships in 7-14 days from proof approval.
Rush service is available.

How do I place an order?

Give us a call or send us an email. Based on your needs, we can determine exactly what your print quote will be.

After that, art work can be submitted, and payment received.

How big can I make my embroidery design?

The front and back embroidery can be about 12 inches wide by 13 inches tall.
Left chest designs look best at around 4” wide/tall.
Hat designs should not be taller than a 2"-2.25" and 10" wide. Back hat designs should not be taller than 1.5" and wider than 3"-4".

Art proportions will determine the print width/height ratio.

What determines the Embroidery Pricing?

When we are giving a quote to our customer, the only thing that we look at for embroidery price is the number of stitches and amount of garments ordered. The bigger the design, the higher the stitch count will be, and with the stitch count, the price or our service will go up. The price will change in increments of 1000 stitches, and the starting price will be determined by the number of garments. Our minimum order is 12 garments, and we are starting to give discount on orders that are more that 24 pieces.

Does it matter how many colors are in the design?

On the contrary from Screen Printing, in Embroidery business we do not look at the number of colors when determining the pricing. We might ne to charge slightly more for a set-up fee, but what determines the embroidery price is the number of stitches, or in another words, the time needed to embroider the design. On our machines, we can sew designs with up to a 15 colors.

Do your charge SET UP / Digitizing Fees?

All set up and digitizing fees will be clearly marked in your print quote. We charge set-ups $40 per left chest/hat design.
Set-up fees will be eliminated on reorders. Also, you will receive on free set-up per 72 pieces ordered.

What is the difference between Set-up and Digitizing fee?

Set-up fee is used to cover the time needed for preparing the embroidery file (Digitizing file) which is used to program the embroidery machine. Also it covers for the time needed to do a test sew-out of the design.
That file is intended to be used by DKgrafix to embroider garments for that particular customer.

Digitizing fee is used to cover the time needed for preparing the embroidery file (Digitizing file) which is used to program the embroidery machine. Also it covers for the time needed to do a test sew-out of the design.
That file is intended to be used by DKgrafix to embroider garments for that particular customer and what makes it different from the set-up fee, is that the customer can take that file to other embroiderers if he chooses to go somewhere else to do his embroidery.
Digitizing fee costs 3-4 times more than a set-up fee due to time needed to digitize properly and to do all the necessary sew-tests. Set-up fee is cheaper because we take in consideration that the customer will use us as their Embroidery supplier.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept Master Card and Visa over the phone (A small convenience fee applies). Company and personal checks are also accepted (and preffered).

Am I able to provide my own shirts?

Yes. DKgrafix Limited accepts customer provided garments for embroider, but those garments will not be covered by our warranty and there will be 50% up-charge on embroidering fees.
Sometimes, we will have to make changed to original digitized file, because different materials require different settings. So, if you are supplying is with many different polo shirts, there is a big chance that there will be extra charges due to the need of file manipulation.

What is your MINIMUM order?

Our MINIMUM embroidery order is 12 garments.
Job pricing is  based in part on the quantity of shirts that you order.
The more you order, the less it costs per shirt.

Is there a minimum change?

Yes. There is a minimum charge of $75 per project.

Do 2XL shirts cost more?

Yes. Standard pricing is for shirts size ADULT SM - ADULT XL.
Larger size shirts (2XL+) require an additional charge per shirt.
